Every Tuesday a different member of the Purple Reign staff will be asked to write a molten fire hot take article regarding the Ravens. Some you will agree with more than other obviously but we ask that you read these with an open mind and please try not to get any second degree burns on your retina reading these scalding hot takes.

There is no denying Joe Flacco has struggled in 2016. He's been awful. Like really awful. He has two passing touchdowns over the last six games. Despite his struggles, the team is currently in first place in the AFC North. Fans should be happy right? Nope. Some fans around town are STILL wondering if the Ravens should have kept Tyrod Taylor over Flacco last year. It's time to get over it and move on people. That ship has sailed and although it doesn't seem like it at the moment.......the Ravens 100% made the right decision.
Flacco is four years older than Tyrod and clearly has more wear and tear from being a starting quarterback for nine straight seasons. Taylor is fresh. He didn't become an NFL starting quarterback until last season. He's 11-11 as a starter with the Bills by the way. Hardly lighting the world on fire.
Flacco is coming off a serious injury, his 5th offensive coordinator in the last five seasons, injured offensive line, and seriously limited playmakers. Flacco has been bad but the rest of the offense hasn't helped him out one bit.
Despite all this I'm still backing Joe Flacco and confident in his abilities. I'm also confident in the Ravens front office and their decision.
If/when Tyrod wins a championship then we'll talk. Until then I'm riding with the quarterback that has proven to be a winner in the past. Not just a fantasy football star on a losing team.
