TMZ- NFL superstar Terrell Suggs has been formally charged with 2 misdemeanors stemming from his Arizona car crash earlier this month ... and if convicted, he could face jail time. TMZ Sports broke the story ... Suggs was arrested in a Scottsdale shopping center parking lot around 1 AM on March 4th ... after cops say he struck a wall and left the scene.
And just like that the Ravens offseason is officially under way!
Suggs was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to notify authorities after striking a fixture.
It's amazing how each year the Ravens have a couple players get in trouble with the law. This year it's one of the teams most important players. Plus, Suggs has a history making headlines.
The charges are from a single car crash Suggs was involved in a couple weeks ago. He supposedly, "may have fallen asleep" while driving and crashed his car. He was quickly released from jail and overall it's been quiet ever since.
With the recent charges it wouldn't shock me to see Suggs get a 1-2 game suspensions. Roger Goodell loves to hand out punishment. Not to mention, Suggs isn't exactly the model citizen the NFL would like him to be.
The Ravens already lack pass rushers off the edge so losing Suggs would hurt. He's recovering from his second Achilles tear and really need to get back on track. This isn't a good way to start the season for a veteran with a huge cap hit.
