Trading or cutting Monroe has to happen. More then likely the team ends up cutting the veteran left tackle. With his injury history (missed 15 games past two years) and the whole medical marijuana campaign teams aren't rushing to add him to their roster. At the same time he's a starting caliber left tackle when healthy and that's a need for a lot of teams.
If we were able to trade Monroe to another team the best possible outcome would be a conditional late-rounder. Below is a few teams I think we could deal Monroe to:
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Chicago Bears
- Seattle Seahawks
Again, it would be a bit of a surprise if Ozzie Newsome and the front office are able to trade Monroe. The Ravens have made it clear they want to go forward with first round pick Ronnie Stanley as their left tackle. Monroe has been a complete bust since the Ravens traded a fourth-and fifth-round pick for him in 2013. Not to many fans in Baltimore are going to be to upset when Monroe eventually leaves town.
